i love my grandkids very much i use work really hard until i got hurt so it make thing a little harder but i try by best but it sitll hurt to do it i had an operation on my back of my neck herinaed disk i still get lot of pain i try to do for myself and help other even when i hurt i just what a little help thank you

I'm not sure how to start this, but I'm writing this for a very close
friend of mine... my girlfriend.
She is in desperate need of oral surgery, and after 5 years of waiting,
has finally been seen by a specialist, who was good enough to give her a
surgery date for February. The problem is, MSI won't cover or aid her
medical costs, and in total her procedure will run her around $3900.00 (after
our private medical coverage).
She takes as many shifts as she can at her job, but barely scrapes in $300
clear every two weeks. Even combined with my income, we make less than $1800
a month. We have an infant son, and a home full of bills, so coming up with
that amount of money within a couple of months is slim to none, as anyone in
this position can relate to. We can manage to save some, but not near enough.

Her Story:

About 5 years ago, my girlfriend was in a bad relationship with someone she
had been with for quite some time. This person also had a hair-trigger temper,
and one night, lost that temper, and to complete fault of his own, he lost
control of the vehicle they were in, and crashed it. There was a handle going
across her side of the dash (safety handle), and when the vehicle rolled, her
mouth smashed onto that bar, breaking most of her teeth at the root. She had
gone to the hospital, and not much was done. She then wanted to go through
his vehicle insurance to get her teeth fixed, as she was a passenger, and
after many long fights, he wouldn't allow her to, as he didn't want his
deductible to go up. She finally got the nerve to leave him a couple years
later, but by that time, her dental situation had heightened, and she had no
means to have them cared for. (her money went to the bills, his needs, his
money went to what he wanted). It has only been very recently that she has
found a doctor to refer her to a specialist, as her family doctor would not,
and that she has been able to get a medical plan that included -some- dental
coverage.

She's pretty upset about this entire situation, and that she didn't have
enough of a back-bone to stand up for herself then, and she's worried that we
won't be able to cover the cost of the surgery (all 32 of her teeth have to be
surgically removed, and 21 soft tissue abcesses removed as well), and that
she won't be able to afford dentures. She's talked about cancelling the
appointment so she doesn't have to go through the embarassment of not having
the funds for it, or making that, having to go without teeth.
... she's only 28, and this has totally destroyed her self esteem.
Visually, you can see how uncomfortable she is meeting new people, even around
people she's known for years. She covers her mouth when she laughs, talks with
her face down and tries to hide her mouth as much as she can.
Physically,
she's always in pain. She has massive jaw and tissue infections around every 3
months or so, so bad, that she almost lost an eye last year, and was in and
out of the hospital for almost 2 weeks a few months ago, needing constant
care and IV antibiotics. She can't eat anything normally, and even things
like jell-o or soup, can cause her pain. She has to drink almost all
liquids through a straw, just to keep it off her teeth as much as possible.
All of her teeth have exposed roots, so even sucking in air hurts her.

Mentally,
she's a mess. She talks to me often about it, and her self-esteem is virtually
non-existent. I do my best to reassure her about herself, but some days,
there's just nothing I can say to help her feel better. She likes to put on a
strong front, but you can tell how bothered and upset she is by everything....

My Mission:

I hate seeing her in pain all the time, and I hate knowing how bad she feels.
Especially when there's nothing I can do to really help her.
My biggest wish would be to be able to give her the best thing I could ever
imagine for her this Christmas... I want to be able to give her her smile, her
happiness and her normal life back.

I don't like asking for help, usually, and she doesn't at all, so I'm doing
this without her knowledge, and anonymously, in the hope that there may be
some people out there who might decide to give up their coffee for a day,
or give up a dollar that they might spend on game credits, to give her a
helping hand with this.
Any amount that anyone could donate for her, even 50 cents, would be a bit
towards her total savings goal and I know she would appreciate it so much.

I will keep everyone informed on the savings progress and on her progress as
well.....

IAM a disable vet live in Smithfeild nc iam in my sisters home she died of cancer oct 15th last year the home has three liens on it about 8,000 i have tryed everthing i know did all i have been told nothing working iam on fixed income i tryed a fundarasier just to have pig cooker blowup on me burn arm and hand but iam ok now seems like only the ones that hold fundrasiers i talk want help only one person that sucks try helping yourself nothing works out there just has to be someone some were out there with a heart to help me not just talk about it and do nothing i can get that any were sorry

I found this site through a web search and I don't see any content rules, so please forgive me if I say or do anything wrong.  I have an unusual name, an unusual situation, and an unusual need.  I'll start by saying my name is Snoopi Botten  and any search engine will get you tons of information about me, or you can go to www.dectalksings.com and find out about my work.

I have Cerebral Palsy, which is really nothing more than a brain injury from birth.  As a result, I'm in a wheelchair and my speech is hard to understand.  So I communicate using a communication device and using a desktop computer I work out of my home the best I can.  I type slow, so in order to get things done I can't go out much.  I can't use a palm pilot because the buttons are too small, and a laptop is not durable enough, plus I don't have enough control in my hands to control a regular mouse.  So, since the early 90's I just had to live with the fact that if I wanted to keep working, I just had to deal with staying home a lot to get stuff done.

Well, about 3 weeks ago, a company put a new device on the market called the Eco-14, that will end my having to stay home so much.  It's a communication device with a full laptop that runs Windows XP.  So not only is it a full laptop with all the bells and whistles, but it has a keyboard I can finally use.  So I'll finally be able to do everything on the go just like everyone else.  Information on the Eco-14 can be found at www.prentrom.com

The only problem is the price is out of my range.  The cost is around $7500.00 but I will have to pay $8000.00 by the time you include tax and everything.  So it's very hard for me to remain sitting at my desktop computer when I now know I can finally get a device that has the first laptop that I can use out in public.

I don't have the option of having Medicaid get this device for me, and my finances will make it hard for me to save up for one.  I've never had a credit card, so getting a loan is out of the question.  So I'm looking on the internet for any help I can find.
